Dr. Leilah Langston was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She attained her undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Spelman College. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and then went on to complete a General Practice Residency at Louisiana State University. Dr. Langston is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, and National Dental Association. She enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and binge-watching the latest series. Dr. Langston is passionate about her career in dentistry and increasing oral health awareness, in the office and also in the community. She enjoys listening to and working with her patients in order to provide treatment that is just right for each individual smile.
Dr. Chad Blackburn is originally from Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Sonography and an Associates of Applied Science in Radiography from the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith, then a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the LSU School of Dentistry. Dr. Blackburn enjoys golf, working out and cooking.
Dr. Robert Freeman was born and raised in Western North Carolina. He earned a Bachelor in Psychology and a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Freeman completed his specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry and Masters of Science in Dentistry from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. He is a member of American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association. After completing his residency in Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Freeman made Louisiana his home and is very proud to be a new resident. He believes in a gentle and friendly style of dentistry for his patients and their families.
Dr. Hudson graduated Cum Laude from the Honors College at the University of South Carolina in 2007. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the LSU School of Dentistry. Dr. Hudson played tennis and baseball in high school and his hobbies include sports cars and watching college football as well as playing tennis, golf, and video games.
Dr. Lacoste was born and raised in the New Orleans area. After graduating high school from The New Orleans Academy in 1972, he received his undergraduate degree from the University of New Orleans. He then went on to receive a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans in 1980.
Dr. Lacoste is a member of the American Dental Association, the Louisiana Dental Association, the New Orleans Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He always finds time to be with family and friends, and enjoys fishing and playing music.
Dr. Oanh Le was born and raised in New Orleans. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of New Orleans and her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. Dr. Le loves to read, watch movies, volunteer and sightsee.
Dr. Luong received an undergraduate degree from the University of Louisiana – Lafayette, then a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. He completed a residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Luong enjoys soccer and golf.
Dr. Matherne was born in Lockport, Louisiana, in the heart of Lafourche Parish. He earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of New Orleans in 1995 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from LSU School of Dentistry in 1998. He also performed a General Practice Residency in the United States Navy in 1999 and went on to receive his certificate in Endodontics from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2007. Dr. Matherne served 10 years active duty as a Navy Dental Officer, with deployments to Spain and Guam. He is a big fan of LSU and Saints football.
Born and raised in New Orleans East, Dr. Nguyen is of Vietnamese descent. He graduated from McMain High School and earned an undergraduate degree from Xavier University. He went on to earn a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in 2012. Dr. Nguyen is family-oriented, enjoys meeting people, hanging out with friends, and forming lasting relationships. His hobbies include building computers and watching Saints football and LSU sports.
Dr. Laura Porras Smith is a graduate of Universidad Latina de Costa Rica where she received her D.D.S. in 2004. She then practiced as a general dentist for 3 years in a private practice in San Jose, Costa Rica. In 2013, she worked at a periodontist practice in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was then accepted into a fellowship for 1 year at Louisiana State University where she received training restoring single and multiple dental implants with the newest techniques.
In 2014, she accepted a position in Louisiana State University’s Post-Graduate Periodontal Program which she completed in 2017. She received extensive surgical and non-surgical training for modern periodontal and dental implant therapy including periodontal plastic surgery, bone grafting, implantology and what many people refer to as “gum disease.” Dr. Laura P. Smith is also certified by the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry for proficiency in Dental Laser Surgery.

She is married, has two children, and lives Uptown in New Orleans. She enjoys spending time with her family, running, biking around the city and exploring new places and restaurants.
Dr. Smith’s philosophy
She likes to sit down with each patient and reinforce methods to prevent further oral and periodontal disease. She likes to explain to the patient the many different treatment options using the most up to date diagnostic tools available and then provide the best treatment to suit that patient’s individual needs. Her first choice is always saving natural teeth, but if that is not possible she will always present the most modern alternatives available for her patient. She likes to treat each patient as if they were a member of her own family.
Dr. Wallace received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry and performed a General Practice Residency at Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. Her hobbies include reading, traveling, and finding new eateries.
Dr. Wu was born in Kansas City, Missouri and raised in Wichita, Kansas. He received his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering at the University of Kansas and his dental degree at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He completed a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) at Wichita State University. Dr. Wu has an identical twin brother and enjoys golf, college basketball and football, reading, flying, and playing with his dogs. He is also strongly committed to continuing education in dentistry.
